How does the Mosquito Mister work?
The Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister dispenses an ultra-fine mist solution of water and Portable Mosquito Mister Concentrate for three minutes over a desired target area. The mist solution kills mosquitoes and other biting insects on contact and continues to move throughout the target area to create an invisible barrier of protection that repels mosquitoes from the area for hours.

What concentrates does the Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister use?
The Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister operates exclusively with Portable Mosquito Mister Concentrates. There are three concentrates to choose from:

• Portable NATURALS™ is a 100% natural, plant-based concentrate with patented Geraniol, an extract from the lemongrass plant. It quickly & effectively kills & repels mosquitoes and other small biting flies. It’s safe for use around children, pets, & food. Environmentally friendly & biodegradable. Effective for up to 2 hours.*
• Portable Botanical Insecticide Pyrethrum is a very effective naturally occurring insecticide made from dried chrysanthemum flowers. It kills & repels mosquitoes and numerous other small biting flies. Pyrethrum is among the most widely used botanical insecticides and is one of the least toxic to mammals. It is fast-acting and breaks down rapidly in the environment. It is EPA-registered for use with Portable Misters. Effective for up to 4 hours.*
• Portable Synergized PLUS is a synthetic equivalent to botanical pyrethrum which is made from dried chrysanthemum flowers. It kills & repels mosquitoes and numerous other small biting flies. Permethrin is commonly used in a variety of household products such as indoor pet powders and sprays, human head lice and pet shampoos. It is longer lasting in direct sunlight and provides consistent, anytime mosquito protection. It is EPA-registered for use with Portable Misters. Effective up to 6 hours.*

The Portable Cordless Mosquito Misters and Concentrates are designed and engineered with safety in mind. We offer three distinct concentrates to meet individual insect control preferences and needs. Our Misters are calibrated to dispense a precise amount of misting solution appropriate to control mosquitoes and other small biting insects.

Can I use the Mister in yards with children and pets?
The Portable Mister and Concentrates give you and your family – children and pets included – the freedom to enjoy your yard, patio, pool, or deck area without being bothered by mosquitoes. Our concentrates are either non-toxic or low in toxicity to people and pets. We recommend that when the unit is misting, that people, pets, and food are outside the mist area. What kinds of insects does the Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister eliminate?
The Portable Mosquito Mister is calibrated to delivers an atomized mist of water and Portable Concentrate to kill and repel small biting insects in a targeted area. Our concentrates kill and repel mosquitoes, no-see-ums, midges, gnats, and other small biting flies. Our Botanical Pyrethrum and Synergized PLUS formulas also control stable flies, horse flies, face flies, deer flies and other small biting insects. The PLUS formula can also be effective against ticks.

When should I use my Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister?
Use your Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister anytime you need mosquito and insect protection -- you control where, when, and how often you mist. Typically mosquitoes are most active at dawn and dusk and when winds are less than 5 miles per hour.

Where should I place my Portable Cordless Mosquito Mister?
Simply place the Mister in the outdoor living area you want to protect and activate. Prevailing winds carry the atomized mist solution throughout your desired coverage area (up to 4,000 sq. ft.), killing flying mosquitoes on contact and repelling others for up to 6 hours.
